Mrs. Barnett's 3rd Grade Math Page
Mrs. Barnett has lived in Pickens County most of her life and attended school at Jasper Elementary and Pickens County High School. After graduating in 1983, she attended Reinhardt College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at North Georgia College in 1986. In 2012, Mrs. Barnett earned a Master's Degree from Piedmont College. Mrs. Barnett began her career at Canton and Holly Springs Elementary Schools teaching Chapter I Math for grades 1-6. In 1989, she started teaching at Tate Elementary in 1st grade across the hall from her mom, Martha Allen. This is Mrs. Barnett’s 29th year at Tate and her 32rd year of teaching. Mrs. Barnett has been walking the halls of Tate Elementary for over 40 years and has loved every minute of it! Mrs. Barnett and her husband Dwight, have two sons, Tanis is attending his 2nd year of college and Presley will be a freshman at PHS. She also has two dogs- Rocky and Copper. Mrs. Barnett loves listening to music, going on rides in the mountains, and swimming for fun! Mrs. Barnett is looking forward to teaching math this year and getting to know you and your family. It is going to be a great year!
